Hun Manet: Peace and Stability Established by CPP to Thank for Progress

RATANAKKIRI: Chairman of the Cambodian People’s Youth Party, Gen. Hun Manet, said that peace and political stability have become a solid foundation for national development in all regions, including Ratanakkiri, which has transformed from a remote province into one that is catching up to other provinces across the country through diversification in all areas.

During a meeting with CPP youth in Ratanakkiri on June 23, Gen. Hun Manet said that the construction of infrastructure has made the socio-economic value in the province more viable to promoting livelihoods and has also opened up opportunities for development to local people of all nationalities in Ratanakkiri province, for now and for generations to come.

He stressed that this progress was not accidental, but was an achievement of the CPP's vision and strong position in the unwavering pursuit to serve the nation and the people, which was identified as a top priority from the party’s inception, and continues to this day.

He credited Prime Minister Hun Sen’s Win-Win Policy, along with the leadership of the Cambodian People's Party, for completely ending the country’s war and internal divisions, establishing complete peace throughout the country for the first time in over than 500 years.

Gen. Hun Manet added that the achievements of the CPP over the past 44 years are due to the just cause and the clear political agenda of the party, which has become policy of the Royal Government following each election victory.

He emphasized that these policies are implemented effectively and efficiently, with the active participation of all relevant actors, especially youth activists of all parties, which is the country’s central force.
